I'm a passionate surfer and teacher from San Diego, California, and I created Fin Finder Expert to solve a problem I've seen countless times in the surf community.

After years of surfing waves from my local San Diego breaks to world-class spots like Cloudbreak in Fiji, I've tested countless fin setups and helped fellow surfers choose the right fins. But I kept seeing the same confusion over and over again: people would spend hundreds of dollars on boards but struggle with the fundamental question - "What fins should I use?"

As a teacher, I love breaking down complex topics into simple, actionable advice. But fin selection involves so many variables - your weight, board volume, skill level, wave conditions, surfing style - that even experienced surfers sometimes get it wrong.

That's when I realized: this is exactly the kind of problem AI can solve brilliantly. By combining traditional surf knowledge with modern technology, I could create a tool that considers all these factors simultaneously and provides personalized recommendations that would take years of experience to develop naturally.
